The Davis School District Board meeting, held October 6, 2026, included several capital-finance and property actions. The board approved a resolution authorizing issuance of up to $93 million in general-obligation and refunding bonds, the final issuance under the $475 million voter-approved 2022 bond authorization; the business administrator said the likely issuance is about $55 million, with any later refunding subject to further board authorization. The board also approved an equal land swap at Antelope Elementary, with the developer agreeing to improve the connecting land, and approved an agreement supporting a potential future sale of the Canyon Heights building to Davis Technical College. The agreement lets the college seek legislative funding; the district would retain classroom space for up to three years after a purchase. Separately, the district reported that Davis Technical College is participating in an RFP process for a statewide information system, estimated to cost about $1.5 million. The district also reviewed construction and renovation projects supported by the 2022 bond program.
Other actions included approval of the Head Start/Early Head Start quality improvement and corrective action plans, a revised April 2027 board meeting schedule, and a graduation-requirements policy update reflecting state legislation on learner-validated courses. No vendor award was announced for the statewide information-system RFP.
