**Jurisdiction:** SLED

The Laramie County School District 1 Board of Trustees held a special session on September 28, 2026. The board approved placing proposed revisions to Chapter 8, Section 7 (graduation requirements) and Chapter 9, Section 5 (use of district property) on 45-day public review and comment. The graduation revisions are intended to align district policy with Wyoming State Board of Education requirements, including competency-based equivalencies and student success plans; the board expects to act on them November 16. The district noted that having the revised graduation policy on its books is part of an upcoming accreditation assurance.

For the facilities-use policy, the board approved amendments before sending the revisions out for comment. These included requiring written notice when a reservation is relocated or canceled, clarifying the district’s scheduling of one Sunday per quarter for outside users, and informing outside groups of any additional staffing needs or fees before a reservation is approved. The board noted that a separate facility fee schedule will be considered later. No contracts, vendor selections, purchasing decisions, or other procurement activity were identified.
