Worthington City Schools Board of Education meeting — September 28, 2026. The board received a presentation on the state report card: the district earned four stars overall, including five stars for gap closing, and staff discussed achievement, literacy, graduation, and college/career readiness results. The treasurer reported that the district received a little over $500,000 in Ohio performance-supplement funding last year and expects to receive a similar amount based on this year’s achievement. The district is awaiting federal guidance on whether a separate scholarship program could be implemented locally.
The superintendent said a facilities-planning task force of nearly 60 community members would begin work on a unified plan for the district’s preschools and elementary schools; no project, contract, or purchase was proposed or approved. The board approved the consent agenda, including personnel and district operations items, and voted to enter executive session to discuss employee matters. No procurement activity, vendor selection, contract award, or bid approval was identified.
