The Tredyffrin/Easttown School District Board’s regular meeting on September 28, 2026, approved a tentative four-year collective bargaining agreement with the Tredyffrin Easttown Education Association, effective after the current agreement expires June 30, 2027, through June 30, 2031. The agreement provides a $3,000 increase per salary-schedule cell in each year (reported as annual increases of 3.96%, 3.74%, 3.5%, and 3.24%), 5% annual wage increases for health-room nurses, and revised health-plan options; existing contract terms otherwise remain in place. The board approved the agreement 9–0. The board also unanimously approved a resolution to refinance the district’s 2019 general-obligation bonds; this is refinancing, not new borrowing, and was projected to save about $1.5 million, down from an earlier estimate of nearly $1.6 million. The district planned to monitor rates and proceed in coordination with the bonds’ February 2027 call date.

The board approved its consent agenda, which included contracted bus drivers, after a resident raised concerns about lengthy elementary-school bus rides and driver shortages; administrators said they were reviewing and adjusting routes. The district reported accepting a donated maintenance sweeper valued at $400. In a related facilities funding report, the Chester County Intermediate Unit said it had applied for a public school facility improvement grant for a cooling-tower replacement at the Technical College High School Pennock’s Bridge campus, estimated at $1.25 million. Two other CCIU facility projects had not been selected for funding: an $8 million Great Valley center project and a future Coatesville center project estimated at $4 million. The board also received updates on facility-rental fee revisions and school transportation, but no additional district capital contract award was identified.
