Kenosha County Human Services Board meeting, September 30, 2026. Staff reviewed proposed 2027 budget requests before the County Executive’s budget release. Requests included an Aging and Disability Services compliance supervisor (under $15,000, offset by reducing a contract), a senior administrative assistant reclassification ($3,000), a Behavioral Health clinical services supervisor funded by reducing contracts, and several other position reclassifications or restorations expected to have minimal or no net cost. No contract awards or final budget allocations were made at this meeting.
The board discussed publishing information and an application for financial assistance through the Intoxicated Driver Program, including revisions to clarify the policy’s purpose and improve access to the documents; a motion to proceed with publication after revisions passed. Staff also announced that Human Services contracts will be phased into an RFP process beginning in 2027. The department has more than 350 contracts to address over multiple years, and the Intoxicated Driver Program is expected to be included in the first few years; scheduling remains uncertain because of a planned building move. No RFP was issued or vendor selected at this meeting.
