Buckeye Planning and Zoning Meeting

The Buckeye Planning and Zoning Commission held a meeting on September 9, 2026, to discuss a major Community Master Plan Amendment (CMPA) for approximately 156 acres west of Miller Road between Lower Buckeye Road and Warner Street. The amendment, proposed by Sunbelt Land Holdings LP and presented by their representatives, involves increasing commercial land from 15 to 50 acres and adjusting residential densities, including single-family homes and a small multifamily parcel. The plan includes enhanced buffering, open space requirements, and pedestrian connections. Public concerns focused on traffic, school capacity, and the inclusion of multifamily housing.
