BUILDING AND CONTRACTS COMMITTEE MEETING 9-3-26

The Building and Contracts Committee of BCPS-TV convened virtually on September 3, 2026, to review and approve several procurement contracts and contract modifications. Key agenda items included the approval of a new contract for grades 9-12 Earth Science instructional materials, a $396,000 contract for virtual behavioral health therapy services, and continuation of human resources and financial management services under a state contract with an anticipated spend of $500,000. The committee also approved a $7.2 million increase in spending authority for IT security services, a $789,400 increase for sprinkler maintenance and repair services, and a construction contract for HVAC, enclosure, and roof replacement at Fullerton Elementary School with an anticipated award in April 2027 and completion by August 2028. Additionally, the committee discussed the comprehensive maintenance plan (CMP) and recommended a brief executive-level presentation of the CMP to the full board. All seven contract items were unanimously approved to move forward to the full board for final approval.
