Tuscaloosa Projects Committee Meeting - Jul 28, 2026

The City of Tuscaloosa's Public Projects Committee met on July 28, 2026, to discuss and approve several procurement and contracting actions related to capital improvement projects. The committee authorized a minor public works contract with K A Builders for under $15,000 to expand and upgrade the weight room at the ESD facility. They also approved a professional services contract with Ward Scott Morris Architect for the design of a new 3,600 square foot warehouse and improvements at the meter shop, funded by proceeds from the sale of the Hopkins building. Additionally, the committee approved a $221,740 contract for converting a generator from diesel to natural gas, within a $400,000 allocated budget. An amendment to a contract with TMB was also approved to conduct a study on lift stations and odor control, with funding from the operating budget.
