Key procurement-related discussions included the approval of naming the Recovery Court renovations after Mary Snyder and Don Ash, updates on the Forensic Center construction project which is ahead of schedule and returning contingency funds to the county, and a proposal for the county-owned property at 135 Weekly Lane. The committee took the proposal under advisement pending legal review and appraisal to ensure compliance with public bidding requirements. Additionally, the committee reviewed and approved moving forward with an updated 10-year lease renewal for the CCRC facility, including revised termination notice provisions and insurance requirements. The committee also discussed the pending purchase and closing of the Bank of America property, with final cost estimates and legal issues to be resolved before the June County Commission meeting. Updates on capital improvement projects, including the Weekly Lane EMS Station and Smyrna Clerk's Office expansion, were provided, along with approval of a $20,125 TVA energy incentive. Finally, the committee granted permission to the Milton Ladies Society to install electrical infrastructure on leased county property for community use. Motions related to procurement and property management were passed, and several action items were identified for further legal and financial review.
