7/14/26 Workshop

This workshop held by the SBHC Board on July 14, 2026, focused on the review and development of over 50 school board policies. The session primarily involved updating existing policies to align with recent changes in Florida law, correcting terminology, and clarifying language. Key policy updates included those related to educator misconduct, administrative personnel evaluation, Title One services, employment standards, tobacco-free environments, student discipline, school safety and security, emergency management, and technology use. Several policies were revised to incorporate new legal requirements, such as the addition of a secondary threat management coordinator and updates to whistleblower protections. No specific procurement, contracting, or budget allocation decisions were discussed during this workshop.
