First, the board approved resolution 26-16 to extend the contract with Biederman Redevelopment Ventures for an additional eight months, not to exceed $250,000, to continue implementing the Curry Park Placemaking Plan. This includes finalizing programming, pursuing sponsorships, and managing operations leading up to the park's grand opening. Second, the CRA approved resolution 26-17 to convey the property at 519 LA Kirksey to Habitat for Humanity for affordable housing development. Habitat presented their plan to build a 1,300 square foot home in partnership with a local high school construction academy, with a completion target of June 30, 2027. The program includes a 30-year affordability period with a shared appreciation mortgage model to support sustainable homeownership.
