Kenosha County Board Annual & Organizational Meeting, April 21, 2026

The Kenosha County Board held its Annual and Organizational Meeting on April 21, 2026. The meeting included recognition of outgoing chair Monica UAS for her leadership and public service, as well as the swearing-in of new supervisors. Several resolutions related to procurement and budget were discussed and approved unanimously, including acceptance of a $10,000 drug trafficking response grant for surveillance equipment, approval of a grant submission to the Wisconsin DNR for recreational trails funding, and acceptance of an $18,138,432 contribution from Paris Solar Energy Center LLC for future roadway improvements. The board also approved the 2025-2026 budget carryover and closeout, which included allocating $1.1 million surplus to human services and repaying $500,000 to the insurance reserve fund. Additionally, a state grant was accepted to offset costs for 911 system software. Leadership elections were conducted, resulting in Daniel Gashki elected as chair and John W. Moresy as vice chair.
