Board Meeting March 4th 2026

The WSD Boardroom held a board meeting on March 4th, 2026, focusing primarily on educational initiatives and district planning. A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to introducing and discussing a new innovative campus model designed to provide personalized, competency-based learning combined with leadership and industry-connected professional learning academies. This model aims to prepare students for real-world careers through internships and partnerships with local industries, supported by a $5 million grant from Intermountain Healthcare (IHC). The board approved moving forward with this transformative educational program, emphasizing collaboration with industry and higher education partners. Additionally, the board approved a contract with MGT Services for resident forecasting and boundary planning to assist with enrollment and facility management decisions. Updates to the Elevate 28 strategic plan goals were also approved to better align with district growth and state requirements. Several policy revisions related to attendance, seclusion spaces, visitor protocols, and complaint handling were adopted on second reading.
