Mayor's Minutes: City Council recap for Feb. 17

The City Council of Auburn, Alabama, held a meeting on February 17, 2026, where several procurement and contract-related decisions were made. The council approved the sale of a facility at 2201 Riley Street to a new industry, supporting local economic development. They authorized a grant application to the Alabama Recycling Fund for over $200,000 to enhance city recycling efforts. Contracts were approved with CSL Services for a 90-day temporary sewer flow monitoring study and with the Three Notch Group for work on the West Magnolia alley. Additionally, the council approved a $1.7 million contribution over eight years to support the $21 million redevelopment of the Ridgecrest Apartments.
