Mayor's Minutes: City Council recap for March 17

The City of Auburn City Council meeting on March 17 included several procurement and contracting decisions. The council approved contracts with 356 Architecture and Interiors for the Lake Wilmore maintenance barn project and with D&J Enterprises for the FY26 sidewalk construction project along East University Drive. Additionally, a purchase of a Chevrolet Colorado crew cab from McSweeney Auto for the engineering services department was approved. The council also authorized contracts with D&J Enterprises for the FY26 roadway patch project and resurfacing of the Charlotte & Curtis Ward bicycle trail, a shared project with ALDOT. A tax abatement was approved for 2A USA, supporting their $32 million capital investment and hiring of 92 new employees.
