Know Your Rights

This was a community informational meeting titled "Know Your Rights," hosted by the City of SeaTac on September 11, 2025. The session focused on educating immigrants, refugees, and mixed-status families about recent immigration executive orders, enforcement encounters, and legal rights. The presentation covered key executive orders affecting immigration policy, including registration requirements, expanded enforcement in sanctuary cities, expedited removal processes, and changes to Temporary Protected Status (TPS). Attendees were informed about their rights during ICE encounters, legal protections, and emergency preparedness, including the use of "red cards" with legal scripts. The meeting also provided resources for legal and health assistance but did not include any procurement, contracting, or budget discussions.
