State & Local
The City of Santa Clara hosted a community meeting on February 19, 2026, to discuss NVIDIA's proposed Phase 4 expansion of its Santa Clara campus. NVIDIA representatives presented plans for a new three-story office building totaling approximately 692,000 square feet with over 2,000 parking stalls, emphasizing architectural continuity with previous phases and environmental sustainability, including LEED Gold certification and water recycling. Community members expressed concerns about the building's height, proximity to residential areas, potential loss of privacy, increased traffic, noise, and construction disruptions. NVIDIA and city officials addressed these concerns by highlighting planned landscaping buffers, strict construction noise and dust controls, traffic impact studies, and limitations on construction hours. The project is expected to begin construction in early 2027 with a duration of 24 to 30 months. The meeting also touched on potential community benefits such as increased property values and environmental improvements, while acknowledging the challenges faced by nearby residents during construction.
