2026 Budget highlights

The Town of Castle Rock presented its 2026 budget, outlining a total revenue of approximately $323.4 million, supplemented by $26.2 million from savings to fund special projects, resulting in a balanced budget of $349.6 million. Revenue sources include taxes (35%), charges for services (30%), development and impact fees, and other smaller sources. The budget allocates nearly 65% ($224 million) to operations, including employee salaries with a focus on public safety, $74.5 million for capital projects such as roads and water infrastructure, and $51 million for debt repayment. Key priorities funded in 2026 include public safety enhancements with new fire and police positions, road improvements including the Crystal Valley Interchange, economic development, water infrastructure expansion, parks and recreation facilities, community character preservation with anniversary celebrations, and open space development with a $2 million investment in Lost Canyon Ranch Open Space.
