Veteran Services

The County of Volusia held a meeting focused on Veteran Services in honor of the upcoming Veterans Day. The Veteran Services division, staffed by veterans themselves, helped over 17,000 veterans last year and operates four offices across the county to serve the large veteran population of over 72,000. They also collaborate with local organizations like Career Source to assist veterans with employment opportunities. The meeting emphasized the importance of veterans accessing benefits regardless of income and detailed support available for surviving spouses and children of veterans.
