Public Works & Transportation Committee 09 09 2025 Agenda Item D4 – PO’s with Gibbs

The City of Oxnard's Public Works and Transportation Committee recommended that the City Council approve two purchase orders for heavy equipment acquisitions. The first is with Gibbs International, Inc. for up to $300,000 to purchase a 2026 HV607 SBA International 10-ton dump truck, replacing an aging 2009 model. The second is with Charles Machine Works, Inc. for up to $700,000 to acquire a 2025 Kenworth T480 equipped with a Ditch Witch hydro vacuum truck excavator, enhancing excavation capabilities while protecting existing utilities. Both purchases comply with California Air Resources Board regulations and were procured through Sourcewell cooperative agreements. These acquisitions were budgeted in the fiscal year 2025-26 and include warranties covering parts, labor, and emissions systems.
