Additionally, the Portage Township Autism Action Coalition shared their efforts in distributing sensory kits, training first responders, and implementing programs like the Blue Envelope for safer traffic stops involving autistic drivers. The retreat emphasized community inclusion, safety, and support through various programs, fundraising events, and educational outreach, aiming to make the region more accessible and understanding for individuals with disabilities.
