Veteran's Day Ceremony 2024

The Village of Mount Prospect held its 2024 Veterans Day Ceremony to honor and celebrate the service and sacrifices of military veterans. The event featured speeches, musical performances, and reflections emphasizing the importance of recognizing veterans' contributions both in wartime and peacetime. Keynote speaker retired US Army Major Laura Matusic highlighted the courage and dedication of veterans and encouraged community members to actively support and appreciate veterans and their families. The ceremony also included traditional elements such as the pledge of allegiance, national anthem, rifle salute, and the playing of TAPS. The event was supported by local organizations including the Mount Prospect VFW, American Legion, and the Park District, with a lunch provided by the Police Department. While the meeting focused on commemoration and community engagement, there were no discussions related to procurement, contracting, or budget matters.
