Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony 2025

The Village of Mount Prospect held its annual Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony on June 7, 2025, to honor the men and women who sacrificed their lives for the nation's freedom. The event featured musical performances by the Mount Prospect Community Band and the Prospect High School Marching Knights, an invocation by the retired fire department chaplain, and a keynote speech by Illinois State Senator and Veterans Affairs Committee Chairman Mike Profurio. The ceremony included tributes to local veterans, a reading of names of deceased members of veterans' organizations, and an essay contest highlighting the significance of Memorial Day to the youth. The program emphasized remembrance, community service, and the importance of honoring veterans' sacrifices.
