The City of Oxnard's Public Works and Transportation Committee reviewed and recommended approval of an agreement with ArborPro, Inc. for urban forestry services. The contract, not to exceed $363,186, will span an initial two-year term from September 3, 2025, to September 2, 2027, with an option for a one-year extension. This agreement supports a project funded entirely by a $984,925 grant awarded through the Inflation Reduction Act's Urban and Community Forestry Grant Program, administered by the USDA Forest Service and Green Latinos. The services include a comprehensive inventory and risk assessment of city trees, with subsequent tree removals to be bid separately. The procurement process involved a competitive RFP with four submissions, and ArborPro was selected as the most responsive vendor. Staff confirmed ArborPro meets all contractual requirements and is capable of satisfactorily completing the project.
