The Safe and Successful Kids Interlocal Board meeting, associated with Lincoln Public Schools, was held November 5, 2026. The Board approved the September 24, 2026 minutes by motion and second. The main agenda item was the annual report on school resource officer (SRO) programming, including Lincoln Police Department call and referral data, school out-of-school suspension data, and student, family, and staff perceptions. Presenters reported declining calls resulting in juvenile referrals, low numbers of students lodged at the youth services center, generally positive safety perceptions, and continuing disparities in suspensions for several student groups. Two relief SROs had begun duties for the 2026–27 school year; no associated cost or procurement decision was discussed.
The Board discussed continued joint training for SROs and school administrators, strategies to address discipline disparities, and efforts to improve family survey response rates. Recommendations included targeted threat-assessment training and continued review of outcomes. No contracts, bids, vendor selections, budget allocations, or other procurement actions were identified.
