The Ashland City Council and Ashland Parks Commission held a joint meeting on November 5, 2026, including a quarterly financial update and discussion of the upcoming 2027–29 budget. Staff said the city’s parks budget would be kept whole to the extent possible to preserve existing programs. East Main Park’s first phase is fully funded and under budget; playground improvements for phase two are not currently funded and will be considered in the next capital improvement plan (CIP) process. The commission is expected to review its department budget and CIP in the coming months, with project priorities and funding trade-offs to be discussed in February and May.
