The Community of Multilingual Families (DELAC) meeting for the school district was held on October 14, 2026. Members voted to conduct future meetings primarily in Spanish, with English interpretation available. The group discussed school-level multilingual-family meetings, parent participation, and strategies to support English learners, including monitoring grades and attendance, using PowerSchool, and addressing students’ vision needs. District staff and school representatives shared language-development practices and student growth and reclassification outcomes at Roosevelt and Anderson schools.

The meeting also covered California AB 2555, described as changing English-learner reclassification criteria: most students may qualify with a level 4 on the ELPAC, while students taking the alternate assessment may qualify with a level 3. Families were encouraged to check their children’s results and contact schools for support. Other topics included incentives and videos to encourage parent participation, language classes, and the requirement for volunteers to complete mandated reporter training. No procurement activity, contract awards, budget allocations, or purchasing decisions were identified.
