Historic Commission - 11/03/2026

The Historic Commission met on November 3, 2026. It approved Certificate of Appropriateness 2026-13 for 703 Saint Lawrence Avenue, allowing replacement of the porch roof; the existing skylights are to remain. The commission also approved a motion to submit its draft comment letter on proposed changes to the Section 106 review process under the National Historic Preservation Act and authorized commission members to meet with elected officials to explain the commission’s position. Members discussed arranging signatures and submitting the letter when the public comment period opens.

Other discussion covered the Wisconsin Historical Society’s annual local history and preservation conference and outreach to recent property owners in the historic district. No public comments were received. No contracts, vendor selections, procurement approvals, or spending allocations were identified.
