The Letcher County Board of Elections conducted a public hand-to-eye audit on November 5, 2026, of the November 3 general election, using the scanner selected by the Kentucky Secretary of State at Letcher Central High School. Officials counted 638 ballots from the location and manually reviewed them for the randomly selected Constable District 5 contest. The audit confirmed 11 votes for Eugene Williams, which board members verified and certified. The meeting also reported countywide turnout of 40.33% and approximately 5,945 ballots cast. No procurement activity, spending decisions, or contract actions were identified.
