At the November 4, 2026 meeting of the St. Joseph County Board of Commissioners, the board approved the accounts payable docket and several procurement and service items. Commissioners unanimously approved a services purchase agreement with Moser Consulting for a high-level assessment of county IT infrastructure, policies, and procedures, with interim IT director support available at an hourly rate; no contract amount was stated. They also approved Celerix Systems administrative and direct-bill services agreements to support retiree invoicing and COBRA administration as the county moves to an Anthem health plan in 2027, and a UnitedHealthcare contract enabling the Health Department to bill Medicaid for services. The department expects to bring forward credentialing contracts with three additional Medicaid entities.
The board approved a grant application for the Automotive Safety Program’s car-seat inspection station; the grant carries no stated monetary award but can provide up to 80 replacement car seats. Commissioners also approved a sales agreement with West Shore Services for an additional outdoor warning-siren system control point at the backup 911 center. West Shore was identified as the lowest bidder and a specialist in warning-siren systems; the remaining project spending was described as slightly more than $28,000, funded in part with money no longer needed for tree trimming. The agreement was approved unanimously. No procurement-related policy changes were identified.
