The Corvallis School Board meeting on November 5, 2026, included updates on the recently passed local levy, district programs and finances, and policy work. Board members and the superintendent said levy revenue will help sustain staffing, specialists, career and technical education (CTE), and athletics; one member noted that the levy is expected to fund about 67 teachers’ salaries over five years. Staff also described CTE funding from federal Perkins, pathway, and High School Success funds. No contract awards, bids, vendor selections, or other specific purchasing decisions were identified.
The board approved the consolidated action by motion, following discussion of budget committee applicant evaluations and vacancies; the transcript does not establish that the vote authorized spending. In the pre-audit discussion, staff described an internal-control finding concerning student-body activity funds and an audit comment about store accounts, clarifying that neither indicated fraud. The district has drafted a student-body accounting and fundraising manual and plans to implement related controls and training for the 2027–28 school year. The superintendent also reported that an AI policy is being developed and will be reviewed with staff, school leaders, the technology advisory group, and students; no policy was adopted at this meeting.
