The Municipality of Murrysville held a council meeting on November 4, 2026, including a public hearing on proposed 2026 operating-budget amendments and a presentation of the proposed 2027 budget. The 2026 amendments would increase General Fund expenditures by $56,575, primarily for operational cost overruns, and offset the increase with higher-than-anticipated building inspection and permit revenue; they do not increase taxes. The proposed 2027 real estate tax rate remains 12.15 mills. Planned capital spending includes approximately $5.33 million for roads, bridges, facilities, equipment and parks, including road overlays and treatments, building work, vehicles and park improvements. A road grader purchase was left out of the proposed budget while the municipality awaits a grant decision. The budget was presented for discussion, with adoption expected in December; no budget vote was taken.

Watershed Association representatives reported that MAWA received a $2.1 million grant for development and design of the White Valley abandoned-mine-drainage treatment project and selected CEC Incorporated through an RFP and evaluation process as its engineering partner. Separately, council approved an excess-maintenance item by vote; the transcript does not capture its full description or cost. The budget presentation also identified a $576,600 Multimodal Transportation Fund grant for the Route 22 adaptive traffic-signal system. Council discussed deferred stormwater work and the possibility of considering future funding sources, but made no related spending decision.
