Civil Service Commission Meeting

The City of St. Louis Civil Service Commission held its regular meeting on November 5, 2026. Commissioners approved the October 15 open-session and public-hearing minutes by roll-call vote; no public comments were offered. The commission also approved a motion to enter closed session to discuss personnel and confidential matters under Missouri Revised Statute Section 610.021(13), then returned to open session and adjourned. The next meeting was scheduled for November 19, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.

The director reported that the city had received more than 1,200 applications for probationary firefighter recruitment, was working to fill vital positions, and had reduced hiring time to about 2.5 times faster than two years earlier. Offers had also been accepted for a classification and compensation manager and a paralegal. These were staffing updates; no procurement, contract awards, or spending actions were identified.
