The City of Glendale Civil Service Commission met on November 4, 2026. The Commission approved minutes from its June 10 and October 14 meetings and received recruitment and examination and eligible-list reports as note-and-file items. Staff reported five newly established eligible lists; a commissioner cited the Police Recruit list, which had 121 applications and eight eligible candidates, and commended staff’s recruiting work.

The Commission unanimously approved a revised Public Works Administrator class specification, updating duties and organizational references without changing minimum qualifications. The Equipment Mechanic series specification was pulled at the request of the Glendale City Employees Association and is expected to return in December. The Commission also received a report identifying 10 employee performance evaluations 30–59 days overdue and was told future reports will use the automated NeoGov Perform system. A public employee disciplinary hearing concerning a Senior Integrated Waste Truck Operator proceeded in open session before the Commission entered closed session for deliberations. No procurement or spending actions were identified.
