The Lewis County Board of County Commissioners’ November 3, 2026 business meeting approved notices for public hearings on the proposed 2027–2032 six-year Transportation Improvement Program and 2027 Annual Construction Program (Resolution 26-438), and on a proposed license agreement with Sealink Networks Inc. to install and maintain telecommunications facilities in county road rights-of-way (Resolution 26-439). The transportation plans identify projects for the coming six years and may change with funding allocations and emerging needs; the hearings were scheduled for November 24. A member of the public also asked about future broadband service in the North Fork and Tasha Road areas, but no action was taken on that request.

The commissioners approved three deliberation items, Resolutions 26-441 through 26-443. They approved an $85,575 award to Elite Electrical Contracting for standby generators and automatic transfer switches at radio communication sites; commissioners discussed the wide spread among bids and found the cluster of lower bids reasonable. They also selected Steel Trucking and Company as the lowest bidder for the County Safety Program project after receiving nine responsive bids; no award amount was stated. Finally, they approved a 2.9% salary schedule increase for non-represented employees effective January 1, 2027.
