Commissioners approved or considered multiple spending and grant items. These included a proposed $530,000 loan through EPA National Bank for the Weaver family’s farm purchase, supported by a tax-obligation resolution; the county stated it would not be liable for repayment. The board approved a letter supporting a $250,000 grant application for manufactured-home critical repairs, affordable housing grant recommendations of $50,000, $46,000, and $36,000, and a budget amendment reallocating $25,000 in Emergency Solutions Grant funding for Safe Harbor. It also accepted donations and sponsorships, including approximately $2,500 for Children and Youth, $500 from Republic Services and $250 from another sponsor for the 2026 LEPC summit, and food valued at up to $300 for a public-safety exercise.
Contract and capital actions included approval of an $11,290 additional Cellebrite license for the District Attorney’s digital-forensics lab; a two-year, $65,000 Reynolds Business Systems contract to convert records to PDF/A; a $6,183 increase to Keon Enterprises’ transportation contract; and an agricultural best-management-practice contract increase of $122.36, bringing its total to $40,278.67. The board also approved updated, no-cost Medicaid coordination agreements, a 2.5% increase to six service levels in Impact Project’s foster-care contract, a five-year lease option for an MDJ office, and other county service and technology contracts whose amounts were unclear in the transcript. It approved applying for up to $130,083 in 2027 mosquito-borne disease grant funding and a capital project to update jury-management software, though the project amount was not intelligible. Commissioners also discussed 911 technology costs and reported on other board and community activities; no new procurement policy or legal change was identified.
