The Kane County Executive Committee met November 4, 2026. Members advanced several procurement and capital items, including authorization of $7,174,396 in capital-fund projects, a Microsoft enterprise software licensing and assurance agreement (Agreement 25-448), and a transportation vehicle purchase totaling $498,258.33, including a $30,000 contingency. The committee also approved agreements for the 2027 West Dundee recycling center operation with EWorks Electronic Services, Inc. and an extension for recycling-center and event staffing. Finance items approved included a three-year Workday Adaptive Planning agreement for $159,283, a Patagonia Health electronic health records agreement for $147,000 under RFP25-030-T, and a $5,759,196 renovation of the health department’s Elgin satellite office. Other approved items included insurance and claims-administration agreements and an agreement for dental services for detained youth.
The committee approved a $100,000 investment in the Kane County Economic Development Corporation for 2027, funded with riverboat revenue, after adopting amendments adding protections to the funding terms; a related agreement was also amended and approved. A $500,000 Kanecom budget adjustment—$300,000 offset by unspent wages and $200,000 for an interim director transition—was moved forward to the County Board, but was not approved at this meeting. Members also approved a block of ARPA fund reprogrammings, largely directing funds to Sheriff’s Office HVAC renovations, and discussed the timing and budget effects of unsettled union agreements. The finance report noted sales-tax revenues above budget and projected reserve use below the amount originally budgeted. An exhibit needed for a transportation-related resolution was not available, so members requested it be provided for review before further consideration.
