Body
MGAT
Date
November 03, 2026
Jurisdiction
State & Local
The MGAT Planning and Zoning meeting on November 4, 2026, addressed zoning amendments and private development applications; no public procurement, contract awards, or purchasing decisions were identified. The board approved coastal area management reviews for single-family homes at 92 Lane Road and 5 Dixon Street. It also approved, by a 9–1 vote, a site plan and coastal review for an eight-unit multifamily development at 463–467 Naugatuck Avenue under Connecticut General Statutes § 8-30g; three units were described as affordable. The proposal replaces two commercial buildings with three residential buildings and includes 18 parking spaces. A special exception for an indoor soccer training facility at 262 Quarry Road passed unanimously; police department review was still pending, and staff recommended making approval conditional on that review.
The board postponed a proposed coastal-lot setback regulation change to its next meeting because the memo’s wording needed correction. A proposed zoning amendment to allow detached accessory dwelling units on lots of at least 10,000 square feet failed to pass. The board also postponed two other agenda items. These were land-use and zoning matters rather than government spending or procurement activity.
