The City of Wausau Board of Public Works meeting on November 4, 2026, considered several infrastructure procurements. The Board opened bids for the Business Campus Trail east-west connector (84th Avenue to 72nd Avenue), a project partially funded by the Wisconsin DOT. PGA Incorporated was identified as the low bidder, at approximately $967,946 based on a garbled transcript amount; the Board deferred action until next week, pending discussion with the DOT and its permission to award. Two proposals for construction administration were also opened, including one from MSA Professional Services, and will be evaluated for a later meeting. For the 2026 public safety roof replacement, the Board received one proposal from Quality Roofing; the stated cost is unclear in the transcript, and the proposal will be reviewed before action.
The Board approved Change Order No. 1 for Zillisch Asphalt’s 2026 asphalt patching project, adding approximately $6,400 for extra asphalt on Stewart Avenue. It also approved a $1,731,945.9 payment estimate to Community Infrastructure Partners for lead service line replacement; the amount is garbled in the transcript. Members noted that FiveStar’s submitted documentation had been accepted by the DNR to date, with some clarifications still outstanding. A separate $5,364.36 grant-funded payment was also approved. The meeting then moved into closed session to deliberate on claims.
