The Nashua Board of Aldermen Finance Committee met November 4, 2026, and approved numerous purchasing and contract items. Police fleet approvals included six marked vehicles (not to exceed $467,999), one 2027 Ford Police Interceptor from McGovern MHQ ($71,316.50), a Ford F-550 crime-scene truck from Emergency Vehicles Inc. ($522,584), an F-350 equipment truck ($13,595.70), a building-maintenance truck ($74,440.70), a prisoner-transport van, a drone-unit Expedition ($87,131.50), and two unmarked vehicles ($119,435). The committee also approved an armored vehicle purchase from Alpine Armoring; its amount was not clear in the transcript. Staff said replacing one oversized SWAT box truck with two vehicles would save about $105,000. School fleet and equipment purchases, including a dump truck from Graponi Ford for $92,735, were also approved.

The committee approved wastewater work, including Hazen and Sawyer contracts for a local-limits evaluation ($145,778.31) and treatment-plant capacity analysis ($270,626.25), plus a toxicity evaluation contract whose vendor and amount were unclear in the transcript. Other approvals included a $172,350 change order to RWC Enterprises for the sewer and drain improvement project; $54,000 in Walnut Street Oval appraisal services; a $575,000 annual road-salt purchase piggybacking on the state-awarded Granite State Minerals/Eastern Minerals bid; and a $73,626 FY2027 biodiesel contract with Sprague Operating Resources. A $25,000 sewer-and-drain flow-monitoring contract with ADS LLC was tabled. Members discussed a prospective change to the biodiesel purchasing process that would let staff act more quickly to lock in prices while keeping the item subject to committee review; no such policy change was adopted at this meeting.
