The board also approved an Area Agency on Aging lease with Pocono Services for Family and Children through December 31, 2027, with a 3% cost-of-living adjustment, and approved hotel-tax payments of $279 for advertising and $300 for accessible portable toilets. An amended prior report reduced its total by $160, from $60,736.58 to $60,576.58. These items and other agenda actions passed by voice vote.
The board approved budget adjustments totaling $56,997, including funds for cellular devices, a tax-assessment workstation, clothing, public notices, and other departmental expenses; it also approved transfers for Children and Youth Services, District Attorney, and emergency-management costs, including $9,000 for well-pump repairs. Commissioners authorized a $148,131 mosquito-control grant application for 2027 and ratified a $198,145 authorization to support probation-department wages. They extended the case-management software agreement through December 31, 2026, and approved a $1,000 opioid-settlement grant to Your Life Speaks. The meeting also included an update on a county housing-needs assessment, funded in part by county resources and scheduled for public release November 18; no contract award related to that study was presented.
