Finance Committee 11/4/26

The McLean County Finance Committee met November 4, 2026, and approved its consent agenda, including the prior meeting minutes, bills, and transfers. The committee approved the FY2027 County Clerk Department budget after revisions that reduced election overtime by $10,000 and cut the election equipment allocation by $31,500 from a planned $90,000 for iPads, with the purchase to be split over two years. Staff said the phased purchase was expected to meet polling-place needs. The committee also approved the FY2027 compensation plan and recommended budgets for the IMRF and Social Security Expense funds, as well as bonding amounts for elected officials.

The committee approved a professional services agreement with Sikich CPA LLC for county auditing services. The county received two responses to its RFP; staff evaluated both proposals and said the selection came down to cost, with a difference of more than $30,000 between bids. No contract amount was stated. The committee also approved a resolution authorizing cancellation of a mobile home tax sale certificate of purchase and accepted the treasurer’s monthly financial reports. The treasurer reported that the payroll accounting and HR phase of the ERP project had gone live in October and that implementation and year-end preparations were continuing.
