The Greenwood, Indiana Board of Public Works and Safety met on November 4, 2026. The board approved the annual SWAT training contract with Norse Tactical U, covering eight trainings for 13 officers each at approximately $11 per officer per training day, and approved continuing the contract with Constant Technologies for the city’s real-time crime center. It also approved replacing the operating-system hub for the city’s phone system; the existing desk phones will remain, and no contract amount was stated. The board ratified the city’s change of health-benefits broker to Gibson Insurance. No dollar amounts were provided for these approvals.
Infrastructure and development actions included approval of additional negotiated acquisition amounts for three parcels on Main Street project segments 3 and 4, between P Street and the Vista Shopping Center, to avoid condemnation and keep the project moving; further parcel acquisitions may be needed. The project is expected to resume road reconstruction, pathways, sidewalks, and lighting in spring 2027 and finish later that year. The board also approved development performance guarantees subject to revised documents, and accepted sewer-related guarantees and agreements for Honey Creek Farms Section 2 and South Tech Building One subject to stated conditions. Separately, it approved fees and forms for operating a shared-mobility system and devices, contingent on the related ordinance passing second reading. Other actions included upholding a facility trespass notice while authorizing a full membership refund, and authorizing enforcement to remove stormwater obstructions.
