The CitySchoolsLIVE Policy Committee met on October 27, 2026, to review proposed revisions to Policy DBC on annual operating budget development and adoption. The revisions would codify an annual budget milestone calendar for the board, align the proposed budget with board priorities, include school and central-office opportunities for community input and public hearings, and incorporate at least three years of revenue and expense forecasting. They would also require board approval before budget amendments exceeding 1% of the total budget are implemented; smaller amendments would generally be reported after the fact, with a separate cleanup process for budget coding corrections.
