BoA Youth and Youth Services Committee 11/4/2026

The Board of Alders Youth and Youth Services Committee met on November 4, 2026, to consider a resolution authorizing the New Haven Board of Education to accept an Asphalt Green grant of up to $250,595.20 for a Learn to Swim program serving district third graders. A Board of Education representative said the grant supports program personnel, transportation, and related costs. The program began that day, will run through the school year, and is intended to include students from every school; schedules may need revision because some pools are unavailable. The committee approved the resolution unanimously.
