The Salina Planning Commission met on November 3, 2026. It unanimously approved the October 6 meeting minutes and, after a public hearing, unanimously approved the Evergreen Edition preliminary plat (case PP260-006), subject to six staff-recommended conditions. The proposal reconfigures about 12 acres into 20 single-family residential lots, adds Evergreen Terrace, and changes Pinecrest Circle to a cul-de-sac. Conditions include minor plat corrections, relocating a fire hydrant, and recording a stormwater maintenance agreement. The developer will also pay a park fee in lieu of land dedication. Staff reported adequate water and sewer service, with a required looping water line, and a detention basin to manage runoff. No contract awards or government procurement actions were identified.

The commission also discussed fraudulent payment requests targeting planning applicants. The city is adding warnings to agendas and applications, advising applicants to verify payment requests through the GovBill portal or city staff using an official city email address. Staff said the issue had been reported to police. Commissioners also thanked city workers, law enforcement, and first responders for supporting recent and upcoming community events.
