Land use and Oversight 11-4-26 pt. 1

The LaSalle County Board Land Use and Oversight Committee meeting on November 4, 2026, reviewed Land Comp Landfill’s third-quarter FY2026 report and inspection findings. The committee discussed the landfill’s estimated remaining life of 36 years, through 2061, and its host agreements. The existing agreement was extended to January 2027. Landfill representatives said they were seeking a routine extension and separately wished to discuss changes to host rates, service area, and the tonnage cap; those matters were not resolved or approved during this meeting. Six inspections were reported, with the active area described as generally in good condition.
