The Fall River Conservation Commission meeting, dated November 3, 2026, addressed wetlands permit and enforcement matters. Several applications were tabled, including Weaver Cove Industrial Park’s after-the-fact vegetation restoration, a proposed gas carrier line awaiting resolution of a city-owned land easement, and Mallister Towing’s bulkhead and terminal work pending review of the peer reviewer’s comments. The Commission also discussed progress on delineation and restoration issues related to existing transmission lines. No contract awards, purchasing decisions, or procurement-related spending actions were identified; peer reviewers and consultants were mentioned in connection with project reviews.
The Commission approved an amendment to an order of conditions requiring a permanent barrier along the wetland side of a proposed shed, and approved a partial certificate of compliance for 27 Bronson Street. Members discussed a proposed wetlands ordinance/bylaw, including a fee schedule, abutter notification requirements, enforcement authority, and whether to extend protections around some rivers and streams; no clear final adoption of the proposed framework was recorded. Outstanding enforcement orders had no new updates, and the October 5 minutes were approved.
