The City of Liberty Lake Parks and Arts Commission met on November 3, 2026. Commissioners unanimously approved allocating remaining budget funds to Home for the Holidays, including roughly $3,000 remaining in programming and unspent amounts in maintenance and other categories. Potential uses include additional carriage rides and rope lighting for event safety; staff will ask the carriage company whether another date is available. The commission also discussed holiday events and volunteer needs. Staff reported that replacement benches for Orchard Park had been ordered and were expected within two weeks; no purchase amount was stated.

The commission unanimously recommended Melissa Cole to City Council as the commissioned artist for the new City Hall lobby artwork. The commission is still selecting portable artwork and will confirm locations and framing costs before bringing proposed purchases forward for approval and Council recommendation. Staff also reported that the Arboretum kiosk sign is nearing completion and that the Rainbow Bridge concept is being redesigned to address maintenance and Council questions; its final design and funding remain unresolved. No contract awards, vendor bids, or specific contract amounts were reported. The October 2 minutes were approved unanimously.
