The Polk County Board of Supervisors meeting on November 3, 2026, approved several procurement and funding items. The board awarded stream-restoration contracts to Iowa Earthworks for the Sleepy Hollow project and RW Excavating Solutions for the Little Four Mile Creek project. It also approved a cost-share grant agreement with the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship for North Polk Outdoor Education Improvements, funding agreements with Ducks Unlimited for the Ankeny Wetlands and Terrace Hills wetland projects, and a cooperative agreement with Mitchellville for the 2026–27 local HMA resurfacing project. These resolutions were approved together. The board also approved a software-license subscriber agreement with Interactive Data, a funding agreement with Johnston for the previously approved headquarters incentive package—with funds to be released against milestones and clawback provisions—and funding for the county health department’s radon-testing program.
The board approved community development and sponsorship awards. During discussion, members agreed to amend the relevant resolutions, including correcting the Edmondson Art Foundation award’s fiscal note to $55,000 rather than $35,000; the transcript also records a request to clarify wording related to the Dowling Catholic award. A public commenter raised questions about the Interactive Data trial’s end date, incorporated online terms, data security and use, and whether a paid subscription would return to the board; the agreement was nevertheless approved, with no answers to those questions captured in the transcript. Public comments also addressed a previously approved road-safety study at the fatal 56th Street and 94th Avenue intersection. No contract amount is stated for the stream-restoration or other project agreements in the transcript.
